Authors are members who have contributed content to the site. Authors can choose how much to reveal about themselves, but any member can contact an author via email.

Joining

Joining is simple, it's free, and it takes only a minute.  It allows you to post material to the site, view the other members who have chosen to be listed, and also contact any author via email.

Author Page

Once you have joined and logged in, you can  create new content on the site.  It may be as simple as a short comment or question or as elaborate as a multi-page article.  Whenever your contribution is displayed, it is shown with an author byline showing who wrote it and when.  The byline is a link to your author page which tells more about you and provides links to other content you have contributed.  Authors control how much information is visible on their author page.  It must include your name, but nothing else is required.  Or you can include a picture, biographical information, location, and a link to your external web site if you have one.

Feedback

Although the author page never displays your email address, it does allow other members to send an email to you.  When they look at your author page, they can click on the feedback button which allows them to enter a message which the site will forward to you.  This way they can initiate a private conversation, should you (author) choose to respond.
