Astro*Carto*Graphy, P.I.

As of this posting, no one has been able to present the official birth certificate with a legible time of birth for Mr. Barack Obama. This has been a source of great frustration for astrologers around the world who are gnashing their teeth, champing at the bit, eager to participate fully in the excitement of political developments.

Mr. Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii on 4 August 1961, and many astrologers have been hard at work to find speculative birth times that fit with events in Mr. Obama's life. This grim, detailed, brain-busting work is called rectification.

I am no fan of rectification because you cannot ever prove these things unless the birth certificate is produced. No science there, darling. Sadly,  every single time -  too many to count over the years -  a client has brought in a horoscope with a time that has been 'rectified' by the brightest of the best astrologers, and months or years later the birth certificate turns up at last, the 'rectified' time has never been even close to the time on the b.c.. Yes, the people filling out the birth  certificates do make dreadful mistakes. But not every time, surely?

OK, if the client brings in a chart with a 'rectified' time and the client is happy with it,  it may work well enough for an astrologer to be helpful with matters of compatibility, timing, future choices, etc. We work with what we have.

But some lucky astrologers (not me) have an eye for these things, as  artists do. They just look at people and 'see' a likely Rising Sign. There are loads of possible birth times floating around right now for the Mr. Obama, the most popular so far being Scorpio rising.  But this  Libra rising caper may well have merit; now another brilliant astrologer (credit is due as soon as we receive formal permission) has suggested Libra rising - 11.08 am AHST.  That puts glamourous Neptune firmly in the first house, amd the sign Cancer on the Midheaven. Bets, anyone?

Why not try Mr. Obama's Astro*Carto*Graphy map for 11.08 am? Hmm again. California?  Uranus on the MC. Straddling Texas, in this map he has both Mars and Pluto on the MC. And the East Coast, Washington D.C. included,  is pure meringue, Venus City. Unprovable, but interesting, no?
