AstroCartoGraphy Maps for Obama & McCain
Birth times are now available for both Senators Obama & McCain, so we are posting ACG and CCG maps for each of these contenders for the office of President.
SOME NOTES ON THE MAPS
We did CycloCartoGraphy maps for both candidates with transit dates of January 20, 2009, which is Inauguration Day.
We also did a CCG for Barack Obama with a transit date of October 2, 2002, which is the date that as an Illinois State Senator, he joined an anti-war rally in Chicago to give a speech opposing the proposed war with Iraq. This speech later became a centerpiece in his primary campaign against Senator Hillary Clinton.
Note that Obama not only has Jupiter Mid Heaven and Mercury Imum Coeli on his ACG map for Chicago, but also had a transiting Jupiter Imum Coeli on that date triggering his natal Sun IC line that effects him in Washington DC.
We did a CCG for Senator McCain with a transit date of Oct 26, 1967, which is the date his plane was shot down near Hanoi, and he was taken prisoner for the next five years, during which he was subjected to severe interrogations.
We have also included the ACG Latitude Crossing sheets for Obama and McCain which accompany the ACG maps, and indicate the exact coordinates of places where two planet lines cross on a map.
These "crossings" exert influence in a narrow horizontal band across the map, of about one degree north and south of the exact crossing. Zenith points (the most intense section of a line's influence, indicated on the map by a small oval) also exert influence in this way.

that good old political bellweather known as the 'doom line' (PL MH, aka Pluto on the Midheaven) running through the state of Maine; in 2000, the Bush family (noted Kennebunkport, Maine residents) torpedoed his Presidential candidacy. Ouch.

How wonderful to have the exact birth time for Barack Obama! I just knew the 1:04 PM time didn’t quite fit his personality. I just love it that he has Aquarius rising that is trine his Gemini MOON.
A big thank you to Nirvesha and Gregg for providing these maps – especially the Cyclo*Carto*Graphy maps dated for January 20, 2009.
I couldn’t help but notice that Barack Obama has timely influences of his progressed MOON MH as well as the transiting Neptune MH near Washington DC on January 20, 2009. This particular progressed MOON is at 15 degrees Aquarius and indicates he will be known globally for what he says and/or writes or both. His passion to unify our country and to bring productive harmony is a tall order but it is his truth according to his astrology – especially on January 20, 2009.
This progressed Moon acts as a guide for Barack Obama to utilize his skill in eliminating what is unnecessary and to work with purpose and passion toward his goals.
More important this progressed Moon is sitting on his Ascendant and emphasizes not just a personality awakening but also a sobering task orientation toward organizing the many parts of the whole.
The Sabian Symbol of this degree is about management. “The New Age should be one in which man learns to use the power generated by human togetherness and group interplay – that is, to use it harmoniously for the welfare of the whole of which all individuals are parts, humanity and the planet Earth. There are so many things to mention of Barack Obama’s CCG or even his natal ACG but today I will comment on just one more interesting piece of the CCG. He has the crossing of Pluto to his Venus lines at the equator. Crossings at the equator provide an overall theme. This combination at the equator looks challenging but transforming as well. In fact, at the latitude of Washington DC there is a paran of Pluto and Venus on Barack Obama’s ACG. (One might think that he has some rather “jaded” friends here in Washington DC. I suppose that is probably true for most people of power in Washington DC.) This combination can bring up paranoia and the lower realms of our consciousness. However on the higher octave of this combination the gift of truth and honesty is deepened. All that Pluto wants to do is purify the ego but we often get in the way of this goal.
So, what will Obama transform? Venus says values and how he relates to society; Pluto says that change is not enough. Pluto says that purification and release of problems in society are necessary. Pluto penetrates to the deepest truth that nothing is permanent and even friendships or relationships have their impermanence. Yes, and as a society and culture we have seen the US change partners throughout history. After all, we started out on opposing sides of the fence with Great Britain.
As we all can see there are no transits or progressed planetary lines for John McCain’s CCG. What does this mean? Perhaps it signals that this is not an important location in John McCain’s life on January 20, 2009. So I guess the big question is whether these CCG’s point to the next US President or not?
