Astrocartography?

Posted by Joe at February 01. 2008

I recently moved to my current location, which is only about 60 miles from where I grew up for the most part. Since moving here in 2003 I have had some of the worst years of my life. My question is could it have something to do with astrocartography itself or other factors? It just seems there is a really negative, drawing energy to this place.

Hi Joe,

Moving to another location 60 miles from where you lived before will hardly change anything on your A*C*G map. It's possible that there could be a small change with the crossings on the line of latitude you've moved to as only a 1 degree orb is used.

You'll probably find that local space astrology will be able to explain more why life has been difficult for you at your present location. Also, your Cyclo*Carto*Graphy map can provide additional information about the planetary influences you have at this location.

Do you have your own A*C*G map? Maybe you can explain what planetary influences you have at your current location.

Joe!

Sorry to hear it. There's no getting around it...some places just suck. Bad restaurants, gossipy, surly locals - who cares what the lines on the AstroCartography map say. if you're bored out  of your skull?

When you're ready to move again, Rule One is: Get a good, DETAILED idea of what you want from the move FIRST. Rule Two: Go to the spot you're considering. Get the vibes in the local library. Try the coffee and pie at the diner.

Whoops, sorry, it just leapt onscreen before I could begin to look at your interesting and all-too-normal situation. Astrologically, there are loads of explanations for how a 60 mile relocation could turn into a depressing move, so if the TOWN itself doesn't STINK, the first thing an astrologer will look at is: WHEN you made the move. TIMING IS EVERYTHING... it trumps everything in astrology. You might have moved at a time when conditions were difficult (a progression, solar arc and transit combo would show this) in your own chart WHEREVER you happened to be, or be headed. You sat out some hard times in your new location instead of the same old one. If it's a timing thing - and most of the time these things are - then your tough times won't last and you'll have this temporary disappointment behind you. If you DID move at a ghastly time, it might be an idea to move again - when you're ready, and with good astrological timing to ensure a smooth and optimum outcome.

Thank your lucky stars you made a small, sensible, local move - even if it feels like living in a sinkhole. You would be astronished how many people actually pack up their homes and move thousands of miles away to places they never even visited once! As David has pointed out, checking the Latitude Crossings sheet in your Astro*Carto*Graphy Kit is essential, too. You can move to a lovely area and land on a creepy latitude, in which case a small move North or South can ace the problem, after you get to know the neighbourhoods.

When you're ready to move again, Rule One is: Get a good, DETAILED idea of what you want from the move FIRST. Rule Two: Go to the spot you're considering. Get the vibes in the local library. Try the coffee and pie at the diner.   Rule Three: Do it with great timing. That means planning it well in advance, so you've got a long window of flexible dates to ramp up your luck.
