and Debbi,
love your description......bewildered, blasted, etc. etc.........overworked....yes........
I just revisited the astro-cartography by buying another map, after losing the pone I had done years ago.
I am living on a strong Pluto and Venus line.....had the report done....woo hoo....... I just started a second web design business with a partner in Hawaii, right on my Venus line........
glad to see this site.......

How does one find a professional Astro-cartographer for a reading? I am a long-time student of astrology who has had a natal and progressed chart done several times, but never a Astro-cartography reading. I received my ACS map kit many years ago and have never followed through with a reading by a person experienced in this cutting edge discipline of astrology and would like to find someone to give me as detailed a personal reading as possible for the 3 cities I chose when I first received my map kit - Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Honolulu. ANy guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Will send me e-mail to those who respond. Thanks in advance.
Dear Jeff,
Right on! Bought the map, got the report, but robots have their limits, I know. Soon they will be able to ask you what you want in life, what you most definitely do NOT want, where you've been, whether you need an organic supermarket or great hospitals or a good symphony orchestra or whispering pine trees or no people, just coconuts, or very cute, cuddly, kissy and sexy people, or a new career or a new place where the natives will throw loadsamoney at your same old career and on and on and on. That's what robots (and we love their flashin' eyes) can't do - yet. Maybe soon they will be able to listen, listen very carefully, study your chart, your future, and your maps, and give you a totally custom-tailored reading with a bouquet of places (NEVER just one) that might be wonderful for you to visit, vacation in, or inhabit. Until then we have something called Astro*Carto*Graphy Licensed Interpreters, who've been tested, tormented, and deemed worthy to examine all the nooks and crannies of your multiple futures and soar spots. (I know - I'm one, too.) I think you can call 1 800 MAPPING to get a list of these, or...hey Gregg, is there a list on this website. I'm new to this.
Having an earthling do a custom Big Look for you is like buying your first pair of designer spectacles - if you get the job done right, you'll be able to see very clearly for very far away into the future for a long, long time and also see what to do with what's right in front of you. And there may be luck sneaking around right now someplace else you don't even know about. There usually is.
PS: Whoever you choose to do this work, it's always a good idea not only to actually make the relocated charts for the three locations you've listed, but perhaps to compare your chart with the states and cities charts, too. Hey, you never know!

Debbi,
Can you tell from the map when to move, as well as where to move?
Please explain how.
Thank you,
Paula

Dear Paula,
Yes, yes, yes! WHEN to move makes all the difference to your outcome. That the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN ASTROLOGY. And WHEN to do anything is what astrology does best. Moving signing contracts, first kisses, you name it, there's a whole bunch of good times to do these things. And a whole load of you-no-go-go times, as well.
And that is why Astro*Carto*Graphy licensed interpreters are TRAINED and not allowed to read your maps without doing not only your natal chart, but looking at your multiple possible futures as well. Who wants to move to Shangri-La, meet a creep and twist an ankle?
How it's done: First, you look at the developing structure. I run solar arc directions, secondary progressions and transits to look at the next five years ahead. (Well, why move now when you can get the place of your dreams in 18 months?) In other words, you x-ray the whole developing possible future scenarios. You rule out the bad times. You rule in the good times. And we haven't even got to transits yet. Not by a long chalk. Ask yourself: how flexible are you on dates to move? Then you check the Cyclo*Carto*Graphy. You might have horrible, boring, annoying things going on in your chosen dream location now, but in three years, you can go in triumphantly. Gotta move anyway? You might choose a 'waiting room' location for the next three years when waiting for your dream location to be ready for you. Plenty of congenial ones out there. The last thing you do is scan the transits and choose a bouquet of good dates - to depart, to land, to sign, to close, to move in, whatever you need. Then you pick a good moon or two. Voila! You just spent seventeen hours or more doing prep, study and R&D, but it is so worth it. You know everything now. Then you take awhile to adjest to the new input, reset your inner calendar, And that's without studying the natal chart, the maps, and those structures. Gotta do those too.
Sorry for the tardy response, Paula. Mea maxima culpa. Januarys and Februarys are the astrologers' busiest times of the year...I am just crawling back onto the website now...please forgive me for not responding to your crucial question sooner! It's the most important one.
