Libra Stuck on Saturn /IC Line

Posted by Ann C. Roberts at January 15. 2008

am Libra stuck on a Saturn/IC line. There is no doubt in my mind of the validity of /AstroCartoGraphy, I have had several charts made in the last 10 years, all came to pass. Moved to Saturn/IC 1996 resulted in collapse of marriage, loss of jobs, lawsuits, foreclosure of new home and loss of other assets, and a consequent debt load that has left is in ruin. After 10 years here it has been nearly impossible to recover or to escape this Saturn IC zone. I am now 62 yrs. old, and this is a disaster at this time
in life. Don't anybody ever move to a Saturn/IC line - no matter what or why.

I have lived in a variety of locales:  New York, Oregon, Los Angeles/San Clemente, Mississippi, and both islands of New Zealand, and all the zones were accurately described in ACG books for my chart.  I loved Eugene for the people and the scenic beauty.  It was a Venus/Pluto zone for my husband - he had a "gravy job" we had a fleet of show cars, a private plane, and a gorgeous home (his zone for "being known for what he possesses").  However it was a Pluto/Uranus zone for me, and I suffered a lot of near fatal illnesses there, and things kept catching on fire (the first place I lived in there before I married Steve, burned down in an electrical fire!)  And moving to ('84) and moving from (96) Eugene - both times, I was nearly killed in car crashes.  A violent zone for me, despite the beauty of Oregon's nature.

During four years in New Zealand ('80 - '83) I began taking Astrology seriously.  Amazingly there, I had a professional astrologer named Edith Judd who share the same birthday as mine!   The parallel of events in both our lives was incredible !!!!   After that I began studying on my own, and can pretty much do my own forecasts at this point after 24 years.

Stuck here in Atlanta, I am watching the planets for an escape hole from this Saturn/IC.  Libras get Jupiter in 4th house in 2008  and ex-husband (we are still together, but platonic) is a Virgo cusp on Libra, so we are hoping to get our Exodus end of 2008.  But it still will be very difficult to orchestrate, because money is SO scarce, and the miserable condo we are in may take forever to sell - and we will have to take a loss on it because the neighborhood has gotten so bad, many of the units have just been abandoned as people are desperate to get out.

I think part of the problem we have in the composite of our charts is that we both have stellums in the 6th house, and when a malefic transit crosses it, it is a "double whammy" transit.  We cannot get apart because we have "friends forever" aspect so we just look after each other.  When we moved here to the Saturn/IC we arrived just in time to get Saturn passing over Atlanta - I think that makes it a triple whammy!  OUR FINAL UNDOING !!!   So it's no wonder we lost everything.

My Venus descending zone is Los Angeles/San Clemente area.  I was raised there from age 8 and enjoyed an abundant life there, rich with music, art, and excellent employment as a technical illustrator, and three beautiful homes.  But ex-husband will not move me back there because the move is too expensive, and so is the real estate!  So he will only move a days drive from here, and to a place where real estate is affordable.  Atlanta is dead-center (a degree to the west)  on my Saturn/IC.  To the west is Mars (I already lived on that line in Mississippi- and that is another story.  To the East it gets too expensive because of the proximity to the coast.  The best I've been able to negotiate with him is  anything a days drive from Atlanta, which really doesn't get me much out of the Saturn/IC zone.

We have had ¾ ths of our furniture in storage for seven years?  UNREAL.   Ex-husband has natal Saturn in his 7th, Uranus in 4th, and I have natal Pluto in 4th - not a great domestic composite for us!   But I am praying that Jupiter transit through 4th house may jumpstart a change!

I would give anything to move back to California, but out of the question short of a financial miracle.  Another amazing thing is that (after my divorce) In 1001 Jupiter was crossing my Venus/desc zone in Los Angeles, so I got on a plane and went "home" and right away I met the love of my life - a retired doctor, who began buying my paintings there in Laguna Beach.  He took me traveling with him on his free-lance medical software job to clinics all over the USA till 2006.  But I was still technically living in Atlanta since I had only been able to afford life in Laguna Beach for a year.  So things were astrologically blocked, and in July of 06 he dumped me and moved in with a well-to-do woman in Oceanside, Ca.  That was "the end of my life" as it made me physically ill, and I have not been very successful in getting over it.   He (the doctor) is a Virgo - and Virgos, as some of you probably know, are in the midst of a long transit of Uranus in the 7th & Pluto in the 4th, rendering them unsettled and (in my opinion) don't know what they are doing under that combo (I once read that combo is referred to as the "cosmic wrecking ball").   The Doctor has Sun in natal 7th and Venus in natal 8th.  And we have a large range of deeply romantic, passionate composite aspects, so I did not expect it to fall apart.

IF I HAVE ONE SIMPLE QUESTION, IT WOULD BE REGARDING THE POTENTIAL MOVE TO THE OUTER RIM OF THE SATURN LINE.  MIGHT IT BE ANY BETTER THAN BEING DEAD CENTER ON IT?   I know what  the ACG books says, but there seems to be some discrepancy on that matter.  I'm hoping others may have felt some relief.   The depression that comes with living on a Saturn line weighs heavily on me, and my physical health is very fragile

I was born October 12, 1945  7:02 pm  at Wellsville, New York.

Hi Ann,

>
I can understand how life has been difficult for you living near to a SA IC line, especiallly when it is only one degree from where you live. The closer to the SA IC line you live, the more powerful the influence will be. Moving to a location that is about seven or eight degrees from your SA IC line will have a less powerful influence, but you will still notice that it has an effect in your life. I doubt that you would be happy in life when the SA IC line is still having an influence.

I have many clients who live under a Saturn line, explain how difficult life is and want to move to another location. However, for one reason or the other, they find it extremely difficult to move away from the Saturn line, and hope that one day life will improve for them.

After I got married in 1989 my wife moved to England where she has a SA IC line. Before she moved I told her she wouldn't find it easy in England, but she didn't believe me and said this would be much better than living in a Communist country. After only one week in England she was very depressed and unhappy in life, but thought she needed time to settle down in England. After two years life became unbearable for her in England, so we made a decision to relocate to Munich in Germany. I have MA IC and SA MH in England, so it wasn't easy for me as well to live there. It's bad enough when one person has a Saturn life, but when the partner has one as well you can imagine how difficult things were.

A location, on or near to your VE DSC line, seems to be the best possibility for you. In your natal chart Venus is sextile Mars, otherwise, it makes no other aspects. C*C*G SA DSC and C*C*G UR ASC are passing through California at the moment, so it wouldn't be a good time to move there if you were thinking of doing so.

I always recommend that you examine the Cyclo*Carto*Graphy map before making any decisions to move. More information about Cyclo*Carto*Graphy can be read at the Astro Numeric Service website.

Mars/Saturn - I can sympathize with you & your wife!  Being on a Mars line was true hell - first husband (a Taurus!) was extremely violent on that Mars line.  Mississippi.

As I stated in my report, it is financially impossible for me to move back to California, unless I win the lottery, which is unlikely here on SA/IC.  The financial losses have been so severe here, and the debts so heavy that it is impossible to recover financially.  I do not have any family either, to whom I could move.  Every year I/we are here the situation seems more hopeless.  I only have an Aunt & Cousins in Spencerport, N.Y. Aunt also has a condo in Ft.Myers, Florida.  She is not open to take in borders, and Ft. Meyers does not get me off the SA/IC anyhow.  This was the worst mistake of my life.

Ann - How are you getting on now? Any updates?  I ask because I have clients and friends who have moved to Saturn lines and sometimes a little time is all it takes before the good sides of the Saturn lines start to show their reliable, wise faces. Saturn has a secret gift side - any reports? I wish you good transits. DK-S

Interesting.  After reading Ann's post about living and being stuck under a Saturn IC line, I plotted and printed out the relocational chart for where I grew up and found out it was also directly under a Saturn IC line.  I lived there between the ages of 1 and 18, and  I pretty much had to raise myself, since I was emotionally abandoned by my parents, who were divorced.  I had to deal with bullies, and all sorts of other abusers on my own.  We lived on the outskirts of town, and my mother was an angry tyrant who didn't allow me to visit school friends, who lived long distances away from me.  I got away from it only because my mother had decided I was going to University.  At that time, I was otherwise too traumatized and cowed to be able to plot my own escape.

Out of curiosity, I also did a chart for the day I most likely arrived at my new place of residence (located some 400 miles away), based on where my planets were at the place I grew up.  There are a lot of tight transits between that and my birth chart, based around the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 12th houses, involving the ruler of and the two planets in the 4th House.  Because they involve a lot of outer planets and the 12th house, I interpret it to broadly mean that the forces that brought me to grow up in such a harsh environment, also threw me me out of it.  It also appears as if I was destined to leave at the exact time that I did.

Neptune in Sag/2nd House semi-sextiles the Sun in the 3rd house right down to the minute.

Neptune also Sextiles Saturn(2 degrees) and Venus (4 degrees) in the 4th house

Uranus(4th house ruler) in Sag conjuncts 2nd House cusp with an orb of only 3 minutes

Uranus also exactly sextiles my Moon, which conjuncts Mars in the 3rd House

Saturn in the 12th trines Saturn in the  4th with a 2 degree orb

Pluto in the 12th squares my Sun in the 3rd (3 deg. orb), also trining Venus and Saturn almost exactly between the 2 of them in the 4th house. (3 deg either side)

Venus opposes Venus in the 4th (1/2 deg. orb)

Sun conjuncts Uranus/Pluto in the 10th house

I don't know if any of these observations will help you figure out your relocational problems, but hopefully the rest of us can learn from them.

EGG ON MY FACE  Apologies!  It turns I made an error on my relocation chart for where I grew up.  While I adjusted the time zone, I forgot to put my birthtime back one hour.  So it turns out I didn't grow up under a Saturn IC line, although the planet was in my relocated 4th house.
