Composite ACG Maps

Posted by David Meadows at January 12. 2008
In the Horizons program from Matrix there is an option to draw a composite ACG map.

When I first started to use this option I quickly realised that the composite map is not correct. It was very difficult to understand how this composite map is calculated as it is completely different to the composite chart.

An example.

Person A has SU MH at 136 E 47
Person B has SU MH at 105 E 07

The midpoint between these two SU MH lines is 120 E 57. The composite map calculated by Horizons has this SU MH line at 146 W 05.

Person A has SA MH at 5 E 13
Person B has SA MH at 178 E 17

The midpoint between these two SA MH lines is 91 E 45. The composite map calculated by Horizons has this SA MH line at 7 E 38.

An explanation how Horizons calculates the composite ACH map can be found at:

After reading this I realised that it is possible to obtain two different composite maps for a couple, depending which chart is entered first!

I would be interested what other astrologers think about the composite ACG map that is calculated by Horizons as logically it doesn't make sense at all.
